P3 Logistic Parks expands logistics space in Bruck an der Leitha, Austria, by a further 11,000 square metres

Frankfurt am Main | 05 May 2022. P3 Logistic Parks, a leading developer and long-term owner of logistics real estate in Europe, plans to expand the warehouse space of its park in Bruck an der Leitha by 10,740 square metres. The tenant is the logistics service provider WLS, which is active in the areas of copacking, warehousing and distribution and specialises in food and branded goods (FMCG). Construction work has begun and is scheduled to be completed by September.

P3 had already expanded the park in Bruck an der Leitha by 8,000 square metres in 2020. Due to the continuing high demand for logistics space, an expansion of almost 11,000 square metres will now follow. This will result in a hall area of around 43,000 square metres. With a clear height of 10 metres, 10 dock levellers and a ground-level gate will be added.

A special feature of the project is that, in order to preserve the natural habitats of flora and fauna on the site, P3 is using a near-natural retention basin as a wetland biotope in addition to high-quality greening measures. Likewise, the developer is creating the conditions for the erection of a photovoltaic system, which the tenant WLS would subsequently like to install on its own.

Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director of P3 Logistic Parks Germany, says: "Our park in Bruck an der Leitha is an ideal example of the rapid upswing that the logistics industry is currently experiencing in Austria. Once the construction work is completed, the area of our site will have almost doubled since we took over there. This also reflects our focus on the further expansion of our portfolio throughout Austria. The country's geographical location, with a total of nine three-country corners at the interface between Central and Eastern Europe, makes it particularly attractive for us."

P3 Park's location in the Vienna Basin and proximity to Schwechat Airport place it at the heart of the important Vienna-Bratislava-Györ logistics hub. A direct motorway connection, at the intersection of the A4 and B211, ensures fast and uncomplicated transport routes.
