P3 appoints Javier Mérida as Group Head of Asset Management

Javier will join P3’s Executive Leadership Team and remain Managing Director Spain until his successor starts.

P3 Logistic Parks, an owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, announces the appointment of Javier Mérida as Group Head of Asset Management and a member of its Executive Leadership Team, effective immediately.

The expanded Group role brings asset management, property management, leasing, customer engagement and ESG under one leadership remit, supporting P3’s focus on putting customers at the heart of its business. Javier will work closely with country teams to strengthen customer relationships and drive long-term asset performance. His appointment comes at an important stage in P3’s growth, as the expanding portfolio places greater emphasis on proactive customer engagement, leasing, and retention.

Javier joined P3 in 2016 as Head of Acquisitions and Asset Management Spain and became Managing Director of the Spanish business in January 2020. During his tenure, P3 has expanded its presence in key Spanish logistics markets through acquisitions, customer-led development and investment in existing assets. Recent milestones include the transformation and leasing of P3 Abrera, which achieved BREEAM Outstanding certification with a score of 97.76%, and the completion of the 43,027 m² P3 Zigoitia logistics platform, approximately 70% of which was leased at delivery.

Simon Carter, CEO at P3, said:
“Javier brings valuable experience from leading our Spanish business and a strong understanding of our customers and operations. As our portfolio grows, his leadership will help us work more closely across markets, anticipate customers’ needs and create long-term value through active asset management. I am pleased to welcome him to this Group leadership role and thank him for continuing to lead our Spanish business during the transition.”

Javier Mérida, Group Head of Asset Management, said:
“I look forward to taking on this responsibility and working with colleagues across P3. My priority will be to support our country teams in staying close to customers, anticipating their evolving needs and identifying opportunities to improve the performance and long-term value of our assets. I remain committed to supporting our Spanish team and ensuring a smooth handover when the new Managing Director starts.”

The search for a new Managing Director Spain has started. Javier will remain in the role until his successor has started, ensuring continuity for employees, customers and partners, while the Spanish business continues to execute its existing strategy.
