P3 Raises the First Column of New DHL Parcel Slovensko Distribution Centre in Build-to-Suit Project at Slovakia’s Žilina park

The DC2 warehouse, which is being built in cooperation with Optima consulting s.r.o., will comprise 2,382 m² of storage space and 402 m² of offices. It will feature a higher number of docks than normal for receiving and dispatching consignments as DHL Parcel Slovensko expands its services in Slovakia. Construction began in December and is scheduled for completion in April this year.

Peter Jánoši, P3’s Country Head for Slovakia, said: "This project highlights our long-standing relationship with DHL, which has been a P3 client for many years, and it shows how we respond to the needs of our clients. DC2 is the second warehouse that we will have built for DHL in Slovakia after the distribution hub developed for DHL Express inside the Bratislava Airport complex in 2013 that doubled its operational capacity. Last year, P3 also built a new hub for DHL Express in the P3 Prague D8 park in the Czech Republic.”

P3 Žilina park is located in North West Slovakia, near the border with Poland and the Czech Republic. It has direct access to the E50, one of the principal east-west motorways in Slovakia, and connects into the country’s road network as well as most parts of Central Europe. The park also benefits from its proximity to the E75 motorway, the main road connection between northern and southern Europe. Both motorways are scheduled for modernisation.

P3 Žilina park opened in 2011 and its current clients include DB Schenker, the transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn, and Albatros Logistics, a firm specialising in logistics services for electronics and automotive components.
