In Bad Oldesloe P3 Logistic Parks has been developing the next distribution center for Amazon since February 2020. The goal of the new hall between Hamburg and Lübeck is to increase the supply chain capacities in the region and thus offer faster and more flexible delivery options to the mail order company's customers in the future.

By September 2020, a total of 12,600 square meters of logistics space, including 1,100 square meters of office space, will be built on the approximately 82-hectare site in Schleswig-Holstein. The property includes a hall with a clear height of 10 meters and is custom-made according to Amazon's ideas for complex e-commerce processes and last-mile solutions. This includes about ten gates for trucks as well as twelve additional gates to transport the parcels to the vans.

Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director P3 Germany: "Hamburg remains one of the most important trading metropolises in Germany. Our new property in the Hamburg area will significantly strengthen our client's logistics network. As a long-term owner and developer of logistics real estate, P3 is still looking for plots in such top locations. Northern Germany plays a decisive role in our growth strategy. Therefore we opened our second German location in Hamburg last year as well".

The Amazon distribution centre in Bad Oldesloe will be equipped to the highest standards for efficient parcel delivery to the last mile to meet all modern requirements. In accordance with the DGNB Gold Standard, the P3 property is also designed to be environmentally friendly, with energy-saving LED lighting and energy-efficient thermal insulation, for example. P3 has signed a long-term lease with Amazon. CBRE Germany was responsible for the mediation between P3 and Amazon.
