Emmeloord, 15th October 2024 – P3 Logistic Parks, a leading European investor, developer and owner of logistics real estate properties, announces its first development project in the Netherlands with a build-to-suit (BTS) facility in Emmeloord, marking a significant milestone for the company's expansion in the Dutch logistics real estate market. The facility will be occupied by Tolsma-Grisnich B.V., a leading global provider of technical solutions for the storage and processing of potatoes, onions and carrots.
The 18,560 m² build-to-suit (BTS) facility will be leased for a long-term period. Construction is progressing well, with the project expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by the end of 2025. Located in Emmeloord, often referred to as the 'Potato Capital of Europe', the site offers prime access to key agricultural and logistics infrastructure. The land was designated by the municipality due to its strategic proximity to the highway and its importance to the region's thriving agricultural sector.
Consolidation for Enhanced Efficiency
Tolsma-Grisnich is currently operating from two different locations in Emmeloord. This new, state-of-the-art facility will enable them to consolidate their operations under one roof, streamlining their processes and improving operational efficiency. The move signifies a strong commitment to the region and the company’s continued growth in the sector.
Léon Vié, Managing Director, the Netherlands and Belgium at P3, commented: “We are happy to launch our first development in the Netherlands with such a prestigious project. Emmeloord’s central role in Europe’s agricultural industry makes it an ideal location for this build-to-suit development. With our deep expertise in delivering tailored logistics solutions, we look forward to supporting Tolsma-Grisnich in their journey toward consolidation and growth.”
Frits Visser, Algemeen Directeur Tolsma-Grisnich, added: “Consolidating our operations into one purpose-built location marks a significant step forward for us. P3’s commitment to understanding our needs and delivering a facility that aligns with our business goals ensures that we can continue to innovate and serve our clients effectively.”
Strategic Expansion into the Dutch Market
P3's decision to develop its first BTS project in the Netherlands comes after years of building a solid portfolio through forward-funding acquisitions. With over 20 years of development expertise across Europe and a team of local experts, P3 is well-positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for bespoke logistics real estate in the country. The Emmeloord BTS project represents a key pillar in P3’s long-term growth strategy.
