P3 Logistic Parks further expands German asset management team

Frankfurt am Main | 22 November 2022. P3 Logistic Parks, a leading developer and long-term owner of logistics properties in Europe, is restructuring its German asset management team. Maximilian Mendrala moves up to Head of Commercial Asset Management, while Claus-Dieter Trapp joins in the role of Head of Technical Asset Management. Both positions have been newly created and report to Dominik Schäffer, Head of Asset Management. Lukas Striebich additionally strengthens the team as a new Asset Manager.

With the expansion of the Asset Management team, P3 continues its growth course. Maximilian Mendrala has been part of the team for almost three years. In his new function, he is responsible for the commercial asset management of P3's properties in Germany. Here, the focus will be on the management of the strategic positioning as well as the contractual value optimisation of the assets.

Before joining the company as senior asset manager in May 2020, Mendrala worked for various asset and investment managers in Hamburg, most recently for Corpus Sireo. There, he oversaw strategic asset management on the owner and tenant side of a Dax-30 company. Before that, he was responsible for the management of logistics & light industrial assets in the northern German portfolio at Cromwell Property Group.

Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director P3 Logistic Parks Germany, says: "We are continuously expanding our team in Germany so that we can constantly develop further for our clients. These efforts are also reflected in our Net Promoter Score, one of the most widely used customer satisfaction metrics, which has increased by 10 points this year. I am proud to continue on this path with our newly formed asset management team and to continue the very good work with Maximilian and welcome Claus and Lukas on board."

Maximilian Mendrala, Head of Commercial Asset Management P3 Logistic Parks Germany, says: "When it comes to the asset management of logistics properties, a good knowledge of the logistics industry and the ability to respond to individual tenant needs are of high importance. Good partnerships with our tenants are indispensable, especially in the current period, which is characterised by a shortage of space and rising rents. I am looking forward to developing further at P3 and tackling these challenges together with the growing team."

Claus-Dieter Trapp started as the new Head of Technical Asset Management on 1 November. In this role, Trapp will be responsible for, among other things, managing the external technical property and facility managers, as well as implementing ESG-related technical measures throughout the life cycle of P3's properties in Germany.

Trapp looks back on more than 20 years of experience in various real estate companies, where he held responsible management and leadership positions. Before joining P3 in 2019, he was active in the German real estate market as a consultant in the areas of facility, property and asset management for various national and international companies in an advisory and operational capacity.

Claus-Dieter Trapp, Head of Technical Asset Management P3 Logistic Parks Germany, says: "Logistics properties are not simple shells, but part of complex, highly automated processes. Technical understanding is necessary as an asset manager to meet the requirements of tenants along the value chain. Especially with regard to sustainability, these requirements have recently increased significantly. I look forward to bringing my experience to my new position and realising more exciting projects with our team and our clients."

Another new addition to the team is Lukas Striebich, who also joins as a new asset manager in November. He previously held this position at KanAm Grund Institutional Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft. Before that, he gained extensive experience at the real estate consultancy Savills. There he was responsible for the interface between clients and owners for the letting of existing space and projects as well as for the acquisition of prospective tenants.
