From the very beginning, the company has been run by women. Rachel Marcovici founded Cartons RAJA, with Janine Rocher over 60 years ago and the name RAJA, is derived from their names, Rachel and Janine. Today the company is still run by a woman, Danièle Kapel Marcovici, and Lorenza Zanardi has been the Director of Rajapack Italia since 2010. Through the “RAJA Danièle Marcovici Foundation”, established in 2006, the RAJA Group pursues a company policy that aims to benefit women and support environmental projects around the world. Over the past 10 years the foundation has collected 4 million Euros to support 50,000 women across the world in 300 projects in 44 countries.
