P3 Logistic Parks, long-term investor specialising in the management and development of logistics properties in Europe, appoints Andrea Amoretti Managing Director Italy, effective April 1, 2021.
As part of P3's growth strategy Jean-Luc Saporito will focus primarily on the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO), supporting the company's development in Europe, passing the baton of the management of P3's Italian branch to Andrea Amoretti after more than six years.
Jean-Luc will continue to manage all development activities in collaboration with David Marquina, who holds the role of Co-Chief Development Officer.
Amoretti rejoins P3 after fifteen months in a pan-European commercial role as Client Solutions Director at a logistics real estate developer. Previously at P3 he was Head of Construction for Western Europe and, as Technical Manager of P3 Italy, he assisted Jean-Luc Saporito in the commercial acquisition and construction of major logistics developments in the territory.
In the past, he gained several years of expertise in the real estate sector, working with major international companies, from Arcadis Italia to F&M Ingegneria. He graduated from the University of Parma with a degree in Civil Engineering and then specialised at the Milan Polytechnic.
Jean-Luc Saporito, Chief Development Officer of P3, commented: "I am delighted that Andrea is returning to P3 to lead P3 Italia in its next phase of growth. Andrea has a great deal of international experience and expertise in client management; he knows P3 and the team well, and thanks to his cross-functional profile, he will be able to create value for both our clients and our shareholders. I wish him and the team much success".
Andrea Amoretti, Managing Director P3 Italy, adds: "Italy is one of the countries on which P3 relies the most and it is an honour to hold the role of Managing Director Italy, being able to give my contribution and further push to the growth of the company after the extraordinary work done by Jean-Luc and the whole team in the past years. While we will continue to focus on the delivery of ongoing projects, our clients are asking us to support them in their future expansion plans and P3 will certainly be at their side".
P3 ended the year with two major acquisitions, Maximus and Matrix, for a total gross leasable area (GLA) of approximately 1.5 million m². In 2020, P3's portfolio increased by approximately 48% to 6.5 million sqm of GLA; the Italian portfolio almost doubled.
