Valencia, October 25, 2019 - Montfrisa, a leading company in the activity of Food Logistics Operator under controlled temperature, celebrates its anniversary, specifically its first century of life. The company, which was originally dedicated to the transport of passengers and goods in Lugo, has thus experienced a day of celebration in the hands of P3 owner of the logistics ship Algemesí.

The logistics operator, which offers national and international coverage for clients of great importance such as Grupo Nueva Pescanova, El Corte Inglés, Lactalis, Bimbo or Carpisa, is celebrating its anniversary while improving the characteristics of its Algemesi warehouse, with an extension by the owner, P3 Logistic Parks.

Montfrisa, which receives and sends more than 350,000 tonnes a year in various EEC countries, will be able to continue offering the best service and aspire to consolidate itself as the logistics operator in Spain for frozen food products, thanks to its agile and reliable network.

Leonardo Sánchez del Río, Executive Administrator of Montfrisa declared: "Celebrating one hundred years is a reason for joy, as few companies in this country can celebrate their centenary like us, at a time of growth and business solidity from a long history, but always looking to the future. The enlargement of the Algemesí warehouse demonstrates this, an improvement that we would like to dedicate to our former general manager, Leslie G. Browne, who passed away this year."

David Marquina, co-CDO of P3 Logistic Parks said, "We are proud to be able to celebrate the anniversary of one of our key customers, Montfrisa, which coincides with the expansion of their Algemesí facility, our second project together. To be able to help them keep their service exceptional is our goal."

Palma Egido, Councillor for Economic Promotion of Algemesí, said: "It is a pleasure to be able to count on companies with a unique history such as Montfrisa, whose constant growth and commitment to the region are of great value to Algemesí.

Pioneering company in clean consumption P3 continues its work as the first logistics real estate developer in the world to adhere to the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative based on the CEO's commitments to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, through the implementation of green technologies in different parks and cooperating with communities and professional/academic organizations in the creation of better logistics spaces.
Thus, Montfrisa remains a pioneer in the consumption of clean energy with a certificate of guarantee that ensures that 100% of the energy used in its warehouse in Algemesí comes from renewable energy through Acciona Green Energy. This pioneering consumption initiative in Spain is combined with the different certificates of low consumption and emissions that its transport fleet has, which ensures that the company not only aspires to be a leader in its business activity, but also in the reduction of polluting emissions.
