A number of cutting edge technologies have been incorporated into the design of the new sorting office in order to reduce operating costs for the customer and the building’s impact on the environment. These include a solar water heating system, tap aerators with infrared detection to reduce water use and innovative “sandwich” insulation panels to reduce heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. LED lighting is used in both the interior and exterior lighting systems.

InPost, which has been a customer at the park since 2009, provides postal and courier services for both individual and business customers and is the only operator in Poland to offer a comprehensive range of logistics services "under one roof".

Rafał Brzoska, CEO InPost, said: "We have been seeing significantly increases in the volumes of registered letters, e-commerce, courier and ‘Paczkomaty’ parcels that we are handling each month. As a result our old building at "https://www.p3parks.com/en/our-parks/platform/map/64-p3-piotrkow/basic-facts/">P3 Piotrków park became too small. The new sorting office will allow us to increase the volumes handled by 60%. As a result, we expect that the final quarter of this year will be a record for us because the new sorting plant will enable us to be better prepared for the Christmas spike in parcel traffic, so that all shipments sent via InPost will arrive on time, which is especially important during the holiday season when everyone is waiting for gifts."

Inpost’s new warehouse has an L-shaped design and comprises approximately 5,700 m² of warehouse space, an 8,000 m² crossdock and nearly 1,600 m² of offices. It features 53 docks and 6 courier gates.

Inpost’s Rafał Brzoska, continued: "Despite our withdrawal from the traditional letter market, we continue to be active throughout Poland via e-commerce deliveries. For us it is important that the new sorting office includes a separate sorting line for this kind of shipment. InPost continues to experience growth particularly in letters with small consignments or e-commerce referrals that, thanks to competitive pricing, took the place of the smallest packages. As a result, it is important that the new building is prepared to handle the growing volumes in this small items segment of the market."

Peter Bzowski, Leasing & Development Director at P3 in Poland, said: "We are very pleased to be working with InPost. By matching the new warehouse exactly to our customer’s requirements we have increased the amount of space leased to them from 10,000 m² to 15,000 m², but more importantly allowed them to significant increase handling capacity and range of services.

""https://www.p3parks.com/en/our-parks/platform/map/64-p3-piotrkow/basic-facts/">P3 Piotrków has great potential for customers, largely thanks to its location in central Poland, close to two highways, and in an area where there is a large pool of available labour. Thanks to the recently completed bypass motorway in Lodz, which shortened the travel time to P3 Piotrków to just over an hour, the area has become even more attractive. Inpost’s decision to locate its main sorting office for the whole of Poland at the park emphasises the location’s strategic importance."

"https://www.p3parks.com/en/our-parks/platform/map/64-p3-piotrkow/basic-facts/">P3 Piotrków currently comprises 90,105 m² of existing warehouse space with room for the construction of an additional 400,000 m². The park’s location in central Poland makes it the perfect base for distribution across the country, as evidenced by the presence of companies like FM Logistic and Piast Cargo.
