Ingram Micro, the world leading distributor of IT products, supply chain management and IT lifecycle products for both mobile and Cloud, is diversifying rapidly in France. It has occupied its existing bespoke-designed building at the P3 park since 1999. Although in an ideal location, the building had become too small for the company’s operations. Ingram Micro launched a competitive tender for a new, larger logistics platform in the Lille region last year. The company also wanted a new generation building designed to meet the latest environmental standards.

P3 won the tender with a proposal that allows Ingram Micro to continue its on-site operations at P3 Lomme park, while the refurbishment of the existing space is undertaken and the extension is built. The project will transform the existing facility into a 42,000m² state-of-the-art, class A logistics hub designed to achieve “Biodivercity” environmental status. P3’s turnkey solution convinced the Ingram Micro team that remaining at P3 Lomme park is the best option.

Alvaro Dafonte, Project Manager for Ingram Micro France said: “P3 went beyond our basic needs. The team introduced a comprehensive site revaluation plan that ensured that the new building will match Ingram Micro’s quality and operational requirements. P3 acted true partners, very attentive to our needs and capitalising on our existing relationship. As a result we will now set be working together long term.

The building permit has just been awarded. Completion is scheduled for summer 2017.

Andrew Stacey, Managing Director of P3 in France said: "Winning this tender was an important step for P3 in France. This ambitious project not only allows us to retain and develop our relationship with one of our much-valued customers, it will also be our first new turnkey development in the country while the complete refurbishment of the existing building demonstrates our ongoing commitment to invest improving our portfolio.”

"We are delighted to have been able to meet the expectations and demands of Ingram Micro, which has been a P3 France customer since 1999. We worked hard to create a solution for the company that allows the company to remain at our park, while also satisfying its need for larger, better space.  We are also delivering a turnkey logistics facility for Ingram Micro in Slovakia and this contract demonstrates our ability to support our customers throughout Europe," added Maite Inglis, Business Director for P3 in France and Benelux.

Ingram Micro was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.

Lyris will be the design & build contractor on this project.

P3 currently has nearly 169,000 m² of warehouse space under construction in 11 buildings across Europe and a number of other projects in the pipeline.  Its portfolio totals 3.3 million m² in nine countries and it also has a land bank with zoning for 1.4 million m² of further development.
