InPost is part of the Integer.pl Capital Group and is the largest independent postal operator in Poland. It provides both traditional and non-standard postal services to individuals, business customers and public sector institutions. It currently leases more than 10,000 m² of warehouse space at P3 Piotrków. Following the recently signed deal with P3, the company will increase its storage capacity at the park by over 50%. Work is under way to prepare the site for the construction of the dedicated building to house the company’s central sorting office.

Sebastian Anioł, President of the Board of InPost S.A., said: “The courier mail market is developing rapidly in Poland – we delivered 2.8 million parcels in the first quarter of the year alone. As a result we were faced with an urgent requirement to expand our sorting capacity. At the brand-new sorting office we will be able to increase the volume of mail by 60% compared with the existing facility. We previously had no plans for such a quick expansion, but the positive response of customers to courier services which we began offering just 10 months ago, significantly accelerated the decision to lease a new building.”

InPost has been a customer at P3 Piotrków park since 2009 and has its main distribution facilities there. The new warehouse has been designed to meet the company’s specifications including a larger than the usual number of docks (53) with some of the space designed as a “cross-dock”. The warehouse will also boast environmentally friendly solutions, such as a solar system to support heating of utility water and taps with faucet aerators activated by infrared light, as well as new type of layered panels with increased insulation properties. Internal and external lighting will be provided using LED lights.

Piotr Bzowski, Leasing and Development Director at P3 in Poland, said: “We are very glad that InPost has decided to expand its operations at our park. P3 Piotrków, thanks to its location in central Poland and proximity to two motorways, allows our customers to easily conduct operations nationwide. We always try to support our customers and, as the scale of their activities increases, offer them appropriate storage space. In this case, we proposed delivering a new, dedicated facility designed to meet InPost’s specific requirements.”

InPost was advised in the negotiations by international consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Joanna Sinkiewicz, Associate Director for key accounts and tenant representation at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are glad that InPost has yet again placed its trust in us and that we were able to support the company in its search for a building with the ideal combination of cross-dock and storage space. The tenant will move in to the dedicated building, built in accordance with inPost’s requirements, later this year. This is undoubtedly a key strategic project.

InPost’s new building will comprise 5,700 m² of storage space, 8,000 m² of cross-dock space and nearly 1,600 m² of offices.

P3 Piotrków currently offers 75,000 m² of storage space of built space and land for the construction of further 410,000 m². The location of the park in central Poland offers excellent conditions for national distribution, as evidenced by the presence of such customers as FM Logistic, Erontrans, Kuehne + Nagel, Piast Cargo and LightInTheBox.
