P3 completed the warehouse in less than seven months, exactly to schedule. In October 2015, just four weeks after the ground breaking, the team celebrated the raising of the first column of the building – an important construction milestone. And, on 25 April, 2016, PSA took over the building, which comprises a 17,000 m² logistics centre with a 2,098 m² mezzanine area and 1,053 m² of office space. The facility has been built on a turnkey basis and has been handed over fully operation ready.

Commenting on the cross-border team spirit that made such a quick turn around possible, Terry Chung, P3’s Group Construction & Development Director, said: "A close and collaborative partnership with our customers is one of P3’s fundamental principles. It is an approach that has proven itself time and time again. Working close with the specialists at PSA, our Franco-German team has developed the ideal property that will meet the complex, long term requirements of the company’s supply chain."

Jürgen Diehl, Managing Director for P3 in Germany, said: "This is P3’s first new build in Germany. Working with our customers, we have designed a building that meets the long-term demands of global automotive supply chains and fulfils our own high standards. As a long-term owner of the warehouses we build, we place particular emphasis on being able to measure the energy efficiency of our buildings not only for the environment but also for optimised operating costs."

GSE Germany GmbH was responsible for the construction. The building is 14 m high, 167 m long and 102 m wide. It includes eight loading docks and ten doors for Sprinters. Special features include laminated wooden beams which, when compared to a conventional roof structure, save 410 tons of CO2 emissions. In addition, the property has an energy efficient building envelope and is equipped with solar panels for hot water and charging stations for electric vehicles.

Niedersachsenpark is located in northern Germany, about 25 km from Osnabrück. The site is immediately off the A1 motorway, with direct access to the Neuenkirchen-Vörden exit, and close to the A30 (25 km to the Osnabrück/Lotte junction). From here North West Germany is as quickly accessible as the Ruhr. In addition, the site is well connected to Denmark and the Netherlands. Companies like Adidas, Grimme agricultural machinery and Adolf Würth are all located nearby.
