VF Corp., the US-based owner of premium retail brands that include Vans, The North Face, Wrangler and Timberland, now occupies a total of 85,000 m² of warehouse space at the P3 Prague D8 logistics park. The company leases more than two thirds of the space at the park from P3 and owns the balance.

Tomáš Míček, P3's Country Head for the Czech Republic comments, "VF initially moved into P3 Prague D8 in 2005 and Prague has become one of the central hubs in the company's European distribution network. Since then, we have been working together closely to provide VF with suitable space for expansion and to meet the building’s technical requirements. The success of VF's lifestyle brands has resulted in the need for new space and the new building 6 will become part of the P3 Logistic Parks portfolio."

Construction of the building 6 has been technically challenging, requiring extensive consultation on its design, specification, construction and future operational performance to ensure that it matches VF Corp.’s commitment to the Green Buildings Initiatives. The facility incorporates a large column-free shipping area with a depth of 36 metres and a clear height of 12.2 meters and includes energy saving and environmentally friendly features, such as thermally insulated docks, intelligent lighting system and a modern heating and venting system. P3 is looking to obtain a "Very Good" BREEAM certificate for the building.

Míček adds, "This was not the typical simple greenfield construction project. We had to work closely with our partners to adjust the park's layout and to rearrange the entire infrastructure network to accommodate all of VF's requirements. The project illustrates the wide range of P3's development capabilities, as we delivered ahead of schedule a state-of-the-art building tailored to the specific needs of our client."

P3 Prague D8 is located 10 kms north of Prague city center, near Exit 1 of the D8 motorway that links the Czech Republic to Dresden and Berlin. The park also has direct connections to Prague's public transport system.
