Starting his career in the world of finance, Sébastien changed direction and took the path of the real estate and asset management world thanks to a long time friend whose way he crossed during the financial crisis of 2008. He joined us in March 2020 after several positions as Asset Manager and Logistics Manager at CBRE Global Investors, AEW, Segro and Affine.
Sébastien, how did you experience this reorientation towards the world of real estate and more specifically logistics?
The transition from the very abstract assets of the financial world to the very physical assets of real estate was very natural. Real estate offered me the ability to add value to the asset. I find it fascinating that a property can have up to 10 different lives. But it is the world of logistics, with its technical side, that fascinates me most. Accounting for 5 to 10% of the real estate sector, logistics is a world apart. I feel a real sincerity and a particular and contagious motivation among logistics real estate professionals.
How did you start at P3?
Working at P3 is like being at the beginning of a great adventure. We are only at the beginning of a great story. P3 has been present in France since 2016. At the moment we still have a small portfolio that has yet to be built up. One of my missions is also to structure the asset management with new procedures that will simplify our property management. This will enable us to respond to our clients' requests more efficiently on a daily basis and thus ensure the smooth running of their business.
Describe your role within the company. What do you bring to P3?
Together with my team of external specialists such as the property managers, we are a sort of shop window for P3. As an asset manager, my job is to maintain the value of the assets and to ensure the growth of the company by bringing in additional business. It is very important for me to maintain a very good contact with our partners and experts who work on our sites. It's a bit like being the conductor of an orchestra of great specialists.

How do you adapt to change?
By being proactive and agile. With the Covid-19 crisis, we were forced to adapt to new situations that were previously unknown to us. For me, I found myself working from my home in the countryside with my wife and children every day. It is important to embrace this change instead of being resistant to it. This ultimately allows us to move forward and meet the ever-changing needs of the people around us.

What do you do outside your professional life?
I like to practice different sports, mainly winter sports and combat sports. Otherwise, I spend my free time with my family. If there is one positive thing that the pandemic crisis has given us, it is the chance to be closer to our children. It may also have a positive influence on the next generations.
