Our man responsible for acquisition and development in France, Antonio Di Scipio, is truly a man of contacts. Twenty three years in business has not only shaped his character, but also made him a respectable member of RICS, a globally recognised professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. And all of his vast experience predestined him to work in his current position at P3 France, which he describes as: “I grab market opportunities, in line with the image that P3 logistic parks wants to promote in the logistics real estate sector.” Let’s get to know Antonio, our Acquisition & Development Manager a bit more.
Antonio, how did you get to real estate?
I got my education at the Ile de France, and my discovery of the hotel business opened the first path for me. After a language course in the US in Houston this sector became attractive for me, and then I embarked on a hotel training in Paris to improve my language skills, among others. For me it was English, Italian and Spanish. I went through a series of internships then but I have changed my direction. My father is in the building trade, and at home we used to talk a lot about the real estate. To tell the truth, we lived the real estate as a family.
So how did you get to your position at P3?
From 2010, I have worked for Adyal Management & Developpement as Director of Logistics Real Estate Management. I spent 10 years at Savills as Logistics and Industrial Associate. I have been a RICS member since 2012 which is a guarantee of quality, great value and a sign of professional recognition. And since 2013 I have been working as Associate in the logistics department of Cushman & Wakefield. Joining P3 Logistic Parks in 2019 was an obvious choice, as I wanted to give my career some boost. I became the Development manager and I put myself in charge of acquisitions and development including Urban Logistics. And I immediately understood how to make us grow.
“My father is in the building trade, and at home we used to talk a lot about the real estate. To tell the truth, we lived the real estate as a family.”
What have you brought to the company?
My knowledge of the profession and my reputation on the market, my commercial knowledge of project sourcing, a certain state of mind to work and respect the guidelines, being a member of RICS since 2012, a guarantee of quality, of great value in terms of professional recognition, beneficial to P3.
Can you describe your work style?
I am very structured and have a sense of priorities. I take a lot of notes, I have a to-do list and I know very well that sharing information is an essential part of my method. My work requires moderation and reactivity. The unforeseen is my daily routine and I share a lot with clients. However, and this is of paramount importance to me, without a team spirit there can be no success for P3 Logistic Parks. With a team it’s like with a family. Everyone is an indispensable link in a chain that leads to the success of the group.
“My work requires moderation and reactivity. The unforeseen is my daily routine and I share a lot with clients.”
What are you most proud of?
My pride is my family. My wife Charlotte and our three boys, Luka (15 years old) - Valentino (13 years old) - Lilo (6 years old). My family is the dearest thing in the world and for me it is sacred! I owe a lot to my parents, who instilled in me values that I apply in my personal and professional life. Work hard, respect the person who entrusted you with the work and you will get far.
