In addition, P3 is refurbishing the world leading IT products distributor’s existing 30,000 m² warehouse facility.

Work began in December 2016 and has been particularly challenging in terms of organisation and timetabling because Ingram Micro continued to operate from its existing building during the construction of the extension.

Ingram Micro’s facility now comprises the original 30,000 m² warehouse and two 6,000 m² additions, one at each end. Site access, parking and security facilities have also been improved.

"P3 was able to design this ambitious project so that we could continue operating on the Lomme site while the construction of the new space took place. It was a bold move, but P3 has succeeded, maintaining a balance between our day-to-day operational needs and the requirements of the tight build timetable, as a result of the trust and understanding that developed between our two project teams on the ground," said Alvaro Da Fonte, Director of Commerce & Fulfilment Solutions at Ingram Micro.

Andrew Stacey, Managing Director of P3 France, added: "Listening to our customers and bringing them real solutions - either in our existing warehouses or on new sites – is our highest priority. On this project, our first Build-to-Suit development in France, we have demonstrated our expertise and ability to work with our customers throughout Europe."

The redevelopment and renovation of the original warehouse is scheduled for completion by October 2017 as planned.
