PointPark Properties (P3), the specialist owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, has signed a new five-year lease with global freight forwarding and logistics company Yusen Logistics, for its tenancy at Ridderkerk, near Rotterdam. The financial terms of the lease renewal for the 19,800 m2 warehouse and offices occupied by Yusen Logistics are not being disclosed.

Andrew Stacey, Head of Asset Management, said: “This renewal underscores our strategic partnership with Yusen Logistics, which last year moved into a new purpose-built facility of a comparable size that we developed for them on the outskirts of Prague. It shows that we are sticking to our goal of serving our customers through a pan-European platform that provides them with the right warehouses in the right locations. “

P3’s two Ridderkerk warehouses are located in the Donkersloot industrial estate in close proximity to Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe and a major gateway for the continent’s trade flows. The buildings opened in 2000 and are fully occupied, reflecting its proximity to the A16 (Rotterdam-Breda) and the A15 (Rotterdam-Nijegen) motorways, while the Rotterdam ring road connects it to the A13 (Den Haag – Rotterdam), the A20 (Hoek van Holland – Gouda) and the A4 (Hoogvliet – Vlaardingen) motorways.

Yusen Logistics offers one-stop air and ocean freight-forwarding and contract logistics services from more than 400 locations in 40 countries around the world.
