Marketing of the space will be launched this week at EXPO REAL in Munich (4 to 6 October).
P3 will demolish the existing building on the site during Q1 2017 and start construction of the first phase shortly afterwards. Warehouse units from 7,000 m² up to 44,000 m² will be available. The new building has been designed to meet the needs of a broad range of logistics uses, from value-added services to light industry.
The new development will increase the total amount of warehouse space at P3 Kamen park to around 160,000 m².
The project will be built to meet the highest standards in terms of design and delivery with the aim of securing a gold certificate from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
Jürgen Diehl, P3 Managing Director Germany: "Our pan-European team of experts has in-depth knowledge when it comes to challenging brownfield redevelopment projects. Based on this experience, we are able to develop state-of-the-art new buildings for our customers at existing locations in our portfolio."
"As a long-term landlord and owner, we invest in flexible and sustainable logistics real estate, that takes into account the needs of the supply chain of the future," says Ian Worboys, CEO of P3. "Our logistics parks across Europe are designed to provide our customers with efficient processes and ideal working conditions at optimum operating costs."
P3 Kamen is located just off highway A1, at the Kamen-Zentrum exit. The Kamen Cross highway interchange, where the A1 (the main north-south Lübeck to Saarbrücken route) and the A2 (the main east-west Oberhausen – Berlin route) meet, is 3 km to the north.
