The ground works connected with the construction of the sewage system and drainage ditches are underway at the warehouse, which is equivalent in size of a parking area for 3,698 cars. The building will have 302 pillars and 238 skylights will be installed for additional lighting. During the construction 884,77 tonnes of steel will be used, and up to now 47,752 m² of soil have been transported to the construction site. The facility will be transferred to ID Logistics at the beginning of July and will serve as a logistics node for one of the company’s largest international retail clients.
Yann Belgy, ID Logistics CEO, said: "We decided to build our warehouse at P3’s Mszczonów park because of its close proximity to Warsaw and as it has direct access to a network of roads servicing regional Polish cities. This is an ideal location for a distribution hub to serve the entire country. Mszczonów also has a skilled local work force. We have been very satisfied with the close cooperation with P3 and the way in which they have met our requirements during this project.”
ID Logistics is a French headquartered publicly listed company and a service provider in the field of contractual logistics, meeting the needs of the retail, construction, industrial, textile, cosmetics and internet trade sectors. The company operates in 170 locations in 14 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and its services include filling orders and other added value solutions in the process of supply chain management. The company established a Polish subsidiary in 2008, which has subsequently become one the leading logistics contractors in the country, with its list of clients including, amongst others: Auchan, Bricomarché, Carrefour, Ferrero and Lindt.
Andrzej Wroński, P3 Poland Country Head, said: "Our park in Mszczonów is an ideal multi-modal location and we also have a land bank at our disposal at the park, which gives us the capacity to build a further 180,000 m² of warehouse facilities".
Mszczonów is one of four logistics parks operated by P3 in Poland. These include Błonie, located 30 km to the west of Warsaw, as well as in Piotrków in the central region of the country. P3's fourth park is the rapidly expanding logistics node of Gądki near Poznań.
